The polls are open online where anyone and everyone is invited to vote for Little Haiti’s iconic sculpture. Every vote counts and our election process ensures that everyone gets a chance, or two, to vote for our iconic sculptures.

Five initial options are Haitian Tap-Tap Bus; Ti Machann (Fruit Basket Lady); Hispaniolan Trogon (Haiti’s National Bird); Haitian Curly Tailed Lizard; and finally the Hibiscus (National Flower of Haiti).

The sculpture election takes place between now and 11:59 p.m. on November 17th. Anyone interested in being a part of this historic election is invited to vote early and vote often online, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In addition to voting, individuals and businesses are encouraged to endorse their choice on social media, using the hashtag #VoteLittleHaiti.

The winning decision will be announced mid-December and the inauguration will be held in January 2018.

Note: Due to the fact that sculptures don’t speak, we will not be hosting debates.
