Start off the evening with a trip to Little Haiti. Visit the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, the art and cultural hub of the neighborhood. It’s where there is always an art exhibition on showcase, and it’s where you can find authentic Haitian arts and crafts for sell in their Caribbean Marketplace. And if you are lucky to be there on the third Friday evening of the month, the center host a free outdoor concert featuring a Haitian band. The area is home to Yeleen Gallery, Laundromat Art Space and Daleus Museum & Art Gallery; and it’s adorned with beautiful murals throughout the neighborhood. And, of course, try genuine Creole cuisine at restaurant favorites such as Leela’s Restaurant. We recommend the fried green plantains and stewed chicken.
