The Little Haiti Cultural Complex offers a free after-school program powered by Easter Seals and the Children's Trust.

The program features a visual arts  based curriculum  for children ages 6 to 12. Snacks are provided free of charge through the Department of Health's After-school Snacks Program. And it operates year-round following the Miami-Dade County Public School calendar. The program features:

  • literacy and homework support
  • physical fitness
  • social skills development
  • enrichment activities involving music, art and dance
  • French classes with the French Heritage Language Program

The program utilizes multiple spaces in the Visual Arts building at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, including the NBA Cares Learn & Play Center. The Learn & Play Center is fully equipped with televisions, computers, printers and tablets, as well as a reading area with a collection of children’s books and board games. This space was made possible by the Miami Heat, NBA, Samsung and State Farm. Pictures of the inaugural day can be viewed here.
